Project Spotlight: Modern Seaside
Our client was remodeling and expanding into the lot next door. Their yard had a small garden but the adjoining yard was a major construction site. The challenge was to make the two yards feel seamless. First solution was to regrade the yards for a more level area. A new paver walkway was constructed on the south side of the house to allow full access with new planting beds using native plants all around. Custom weathering steel edging was used to define the edges and create a low retaining wall. Stone walls created pockets for more plants and a topdressing of drain and cobblestone created a unified space along the shoreline.
